Homes for Every Cincinnatian.

.

We’re committed to ensuring that Cincinnati remains accessible and equitable. Under Mayor Aftab Pureval’s leadership, our city is building pathways to safe, affordable, and inclusive housing — because anyone who works in Cincinnati should be able to live here too.

Expanding Access with Equity

  • We made historic investments in the Affordable Housing Trust Fund, including a $5 million ARPA infusion and a new recurring annual deposit of $1 million (projected to reach $2.5 million) to fund gap financing for affordable housing projects.

  • Through our Connected Communities initiative, we’re reforming outdated zoning codes to allow diverse housing forms—like duplexes and triplexes—across more neighborhoods, especially near transit corridors.

  • We launched a streamlined process combining city support letters and provisional tax abatements for affordable housing developers, cutting red tape and speeding up project timelines.

A Down Payment on Presence & Permanence

Row of historic brick buildings on a city street with cars parked in front, a large red church in the background, and a blue sky with clouds.

Our Affordable Housing Trust Fund is more than a pool of funds—it’s a promise: a one-stop shop for developers needing gap financing, guided by transparent criteria and backed by consistent revenue. With $57 million secured from federal relief, private partners, and local investments—and growing—this fund is laying the foundation for long-term housing equity across Cincinnati.
